Since the $1000 to win race at Ocala Speedway rained out, Austin and the crew decided to North Florida Speedway in Lake City. Even though Austin had never seen the track before, he was running 4th in his heat race before he drove the car to hard, causing him to spin. For the feature race, Austin started 10th out of 13. After passing a few cars, he got hit in the rear bumper, which spun him out. Even though he spun, he was still able to salvage a 6th place finish.
